Personality:
Cupid is the pure and good-hearted fairy of love who constantly thinks of those around him. Nah, just kidding. While he’s not necessarily a bad fairy, Cupid’s grasp on morals and ethics tend to slide around a lot, usually going wherever he wants it to. He has no problems taking bribes from others in order to influence his own game show. Manipulating others in the form of a scavenger hunt so he doesn’t have to do his own grocery shopping? Well, why not? They should be glad to do things for him! He’s Cupid after all, and he happens to be a very important fairy.
Being part of fairy High Society means that Cupid is very careful about keeping up appearances and has a huge celebrity sized ego. He keeps himself well groomed and is never without a spare diaper. Good things come to those who are prepared after all! Cupid’s manner is very vain and flamboyant, and like most fairies he tends to operate on his own rules of logic. If “logic” could really be applied to fairies at all. Rather unsurprisingly, Cupid will occasionally fall to petty jealousies and will put things aside for his own personal gain.
Despite all of this, Cupid is very devoted to his job and will take breaks and vacation time very rarely. He’s the god/fairy of love after all, and what he does is extremely important. Love is one of the most important elements of the world and its his job to keep that going. Because we all love love and hate hate! As a result, Cupid is a huge romantic, and doesn’t usually discriminate where the love comes from. Do whatever you simpletons want, he benefits either way.
So how does Cupid feel about humans? Eh. They exist and he sort of needs them to fall in love in order to keep himself alive. Don't get him wrong, he still wants them to love because love is good, but there's always the underlying selfishness there. Cupid has had more dealings with Timmy Turner than most humans, and overall he doesn't hate him. That kid is still extremely annoying though, seriously what's his problem? Doesn't mean he won't say no to a flapjack party though. Flap jacks are scrumptious! As for fairies, Cupid is often seen in the company of Juandissimo Magnifico, so it can be assumed that they're good friends. Considering that they share a love of themselves, that's hardly surprising. Most other fairies aren't fabulous enough to hang out with him.
Strengths:
As any fairy, Cupid has the power to change reality pretty much whenever it suits him. Telekinesis, shape changing, weather changing, stock options, you name it, he can do it. In addition, Cupid has the rare ability to influence love around him. Most fairies are forbidden from casting love spells, but Cupid is the love fairy so obviously it doesn’t apply to him. That doesn't mean he’ll be running around and forcing everyone to fall in love of course, things don’t work like that.
Does Cupid have any talent outside his powers? Uh, well apparently he's kind of good at doing the limbo? Oh oh and he almost knows a spanish word! Nah I've got nothing.
Weaknesses:
If there’s no love left in the world (between girls and boys), Cupid will die. Also there’s no reason to believe that he doesn’t suffer the same weakness towards butterfly nets as the rest of his kind do. Being trapped under a net completely cuts out their power. Those things are evil. Lastly, he suffers from a severe coffee addiction. Approach with caution in the morning.
Most fairies draw their powers from The Big Wand. Since The Big Wand isn't present in Ponyville or anywhere nearby, Cupid's powers will be greatly reduced. He certainly won't have the power to completely change the world's realty.
Possessions:
Two quivers of arrows and one bow. One set of arrows will cause anyone it hits to fall in love with the first person/thing they see. The other set will cause them to fall out of love. The bow is necessary to fire them both.
Pony/Animal Type: Cupid is a unicorn.
Cutie Mark: Nothing too complicated: Just one large red heart and one smaller pink one

My goodness, you pony types sure know how to crank up the love! I haven’t felt this much love and friendship since the last time I felt this much love and friendship! I could totally think up a real example there but I don’t want to. Anyway, this is your neighborhood Cupid saying that love conquers all and I’m totally glad for all of you!
This calls for a celebration of some kind!
[Cupid really doesn’t need an excuse to set up a party, but this one is a really, really good one!]
Now if only there was a holiday dedicated to showing romantic love to your chosen partner. That would be very useful, don’t you think?
Third Person:
Busy busy busy, there's always something that this fairy had to do. But hey, Cupid wasn't complaining! Despite his... unique personality, Cupid LOVED working, and when you LOVE working, you can never HATE anything right? Aha yeah he knew that that was a load of hooey, but hey, he liked what he did, and that was the bottom line here.
As long as Cupid was happy, everyone was happy! He was the god... er... Fairy of love of course, and whatever he says, goes. There was no greater joy in life than seeing two people who were meant to be together, together! Of course, Cupid's magic only ever brought them half the way, it was usually up to them to go the other half, or they'd never be happy. But really, they should thank him more often, since how could anyone really fall in love if he didn't exist?
Easily actually, but it would probably cause a little more chaos, and that was part of what Cupid had to prevent. A world filled with nothing but love an acceptance towards each other would be nice, but it wasn't possible, not even with all of Cupid's magic.
Oh well, it was nice to dream wasn't it? At least Cupid could look forward to waking up every day to an absolutely scrumptious cup of the best coffee this side of Fairy World has to offer.
